Privacy Policy of MaSa Europe

Your privacy matters to us. We are committed to being transparent about how we collect and use your information, ensuring its security, and providing you with meaningful choices. This Privacy Policy aims to clarify what information we gather, why we gather it, and how we use it. The website is operated by MaSa Europe, a private company with limited liability organised under the laws of the Netherlands, having its registered seat in Amsterdam, and its office address at Ottho Heldringstraat 3, 1066AZ in Amsterdam and registered in the Dutch trade register under number NL004563623B79

Information Collection and Use

At MaSa Europe, the type of information we collect varies based on our relationship with you, with most data being provided directly by you.

For Recruitment

We gather the information you submit when applying for a job via our website or other channels. Your application letter and resume are retained for 4 weeks post the recruitment process. After this period, we will delete your data unless you give us permission to retain it for future opportunities within our company or with clients. With your consent, we will keep the information for 1 year. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing contact@masa-europe.com.

For Employment

We collect data necessary to fulfill our contractual obligations as your employer. This includes personal details such as name, contact information, credentials, bank details, ID, and national security number, among others required for payroll processing. Depending on the type of data, retention can extend up to 7 years after employment ends, in accordance with legal requirements.

For Service Provision

We collect information needed to fulfill our business agreement. This processing is required to execute the contract between you and us. If you use services requiring financial details or transaction completion, we collect payment and billing information. Your information will be retained as long as the contract is active and longer if required by legal obligations.

For Marketing

We collect information to operate our business and to provide information about our products. This data is often collected through third parties (see “Information Collected Through Third Parties”). This can include names and contact details such as job title, email address, and phone number.

Additionally, MaSa Europe collects information from suppliers and other business contacts, including names, job titles, phone numbers, and email addresses. This data is retained as long as the business relationship exists.

Your Rights and How to Exercise Them

You have the right to review, modify, or restrict the use of your information. You can request the deletion of your data, and we will comply unless specific reasons prevent us from doing so, such as legal obligations, dispute resolution, or enforcement of agreements.

You also have the right to receive a copy of your information in an accessible format and, under certain conditions, request that we transfer your data to third parties. To exercise these rights, email your request to info@masaeurope.com.

Information Collected Through Third Parties

We obtain data from third parties and protect it according to the practices outlined in this policy and any additional restrictions imposed by the data source. These sources vary but have included:

  • Publicly available information
  • Existing business relationships

How We Use the Information Collected

We rely on three main bases to process your information lawfully:

  1. In accordance with a contractual agreement (including our Terms & Conditions)
  2. Based on your consent
  3. Based on MaSa Europe’s legitimate interests, provided they do not override your rights

Occasionally, we may rely on other legal bases to process your data, such as compliance with legal obligations.

How We Share This Information

We share information with third parties under certain conditions:

Within MaSa Europe

Information may be shared within MaSa Europe, including with affiliates. Affiliates may use this information per their privacy policies.

With Our Clients

Our services require us to share personal data with clients, such as CVs and motivational letters for recruitment, data to fulfill agreements, or data for direct marketing purposes. Some clients may be outside the EU/EEA, and we ensure appropriate safeguards in compliance with the GDPR.

Trusted Local Service Partners

We share user information with trusted partners working on behalf of MaSa Europe, following our instructions and maintaining confidentiality measures (e.g., payroll providers, leasing companies).

For Legal Reasons

We may access, preserve, and disclose information to address legal processes, enforce terms, respond to customer service requests, establish or defend legal rights, or as required by law, including responses to governmental requests.

New Ownership

If MaSa Europe undergoes a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, we may transfer your information to the new owner.

Security and Data Retention

MaSa Europe employs various security technologies and procedures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Personal data is stored on secure computer systems with limited access. Highly confidential data transmitted over the internet is protected by encryption.

We retain your information only as long as necessary for the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. If you no longer want us to use your information for services, contact MaSa Europe. We will delete your data unless required to retain it for legal reasons, dispute resolution, or enforcement of agreements.

Legitimate Interests

MaSa Europe may use your information to provide, improve, and customize our services. This may involve sharing information for legitimate interests in delivering personalized content and services.

You have the right to object to this processing. To object, please contact us at info@masaeurope.com.

Transferring Data Outside the EU/EEA

MaSa Europe may process and transfer data related to individuals in the EU/EEA through various compliance mechanisms, including data processing agreements based on EU/EEA Standard Contractual Clauses.

Non-EEA countries, including the United States, have different data protection laws. When your data is transferred from your home country to a third country outside the EEA, some of these countries may lack the same data protection safeguards as your home country.

To transfer your data outside the EEA, MaSa Europe relies on:

Standard Contractual Clauses

The European Commission’s standard contractual clauses provide safeguards for personal data transferred outside the EEA. We use these clauses where possible for such transfers, including to our affiliates.

Contractual Necessity

By signing an employment contract, a contractual necessity arises to share information with customers outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States. As we operate globally, we must transfer data internationally to provide our services.

Final Note

This Privacy Policy applies solely to MaSa Europe and its affiliates. It does not cover the practices of companies we do not own or control, or people we do not employ or manage.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will inform you of any changes.
